Laptop / notebook computer battery safety

As Sony announces global replacement of lithium ion batteries for laptop / notebook computer after Apple, Dell, Tosbiba, Fujitsu announced laptop computer battery recall. It is helpful to look at US Consumer Product Safety Commission's advice to safe usage of computer battery.
